Research interests:
Main areas of interest include vibrations, system modelling and control. Using the principles of these fields, currently involved in research in dynamic characteristics of human airway walls and respiratory devices, smart lenses with changeable focal length, vibration abatement of machine tools using adaptive control and vibrations of shells and plates.


Respiratory System and Devices Research Group

Some of this group are involved in studying the dynamic characteristics of the respiratory walls in an optimum goal of developing a non traditional drug-free technique of relieving airway constrictions. Both of acoustic and vibration principles are used for occlusion identification and relief. The rest of the group are working on the modelling, development and optimisation of various respiratory devices. You can view some of this group's work by clicking here.
