Engineering Education

This research group seeks to inform, model and explore best practice in teaching and learning in engineering education in the tertiary sector.  Our research aims to work collaboratively across the partnerships which form engineering education - students, teachers, researchers, industry, education, professional bodies, government and society - to enhance the outcomes for graduates from our programmes.


Current projects:

  • Collaborative partner in the Teaching and Learning Research Initiative (TLRI) contract to the Ministry of Education through New Zealand Council for Education Research (NZCER): Understanding and Enhancing Learning Communities in Tertiary Education in Science and Engineering
  • Host of international AaeE conference 2006
  • Research projects in capability development, e-learning, flexible delivery in engineering education
